Parle waitlist · Last updated October 14, 2026
This page explains what happens to the information you give us when you join the Parle waitlist at parle.buzz. Parle is not open yet; this page covers the waitlist only. When the Parle app opens, it will have its own privacy policy.
What we collect
- Your email address.
- Whether you want to learn or teach French.
- Your main goal, if you choose one (for example Canadian immigration or everyday conversation).
- Your browser's language setting and, if the link you used included one, where you came from (for example a campaign or referral name).
- The date and time you joined and gave your consent.
We do not ask for your name, and we do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this page.
Why we collect it
- To email you when Parle opens.
- If you chose "Teach French", to contact you about becoming a founding tutor.
- To understand, in total, which learning goals people care about most, so we build the right things first.
We will not sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Your consent
We only add you to the list when you tick the consent box. You can withdraw your consent at any time: every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe, or you can write to privacy@parle.buzz.
Where it is stored
The waitlist is stored in a database run by Supabase in its Canada (Central) region. The page itself is served by Vercel, and its fonts load from Google Fonts, so those services see the technical details any website visit involves (such as your IP address and browser). When we send the launch email, we will use an email sending service, which will receive your email address only for that purpose.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist entry until Parle opens and we have sent you the launch email, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If you then create a Parle account, the app's own privacy policy applies to that account.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Write to privacy@parle.buzz from the email address you signed up with, and we will reply within 30 days.
If you are in Canada and are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
The waitlist is meant for people aged 16 and over.
Changes
If we change how we use waitlist information, we will update this page and the date above, and we will ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
